If someone has parked in your bay, you cannot park in a disabled bay. You can park in any:
- visitor’s bay marked V, Vis or Visitor
- contractor’s bay marked C, Cont or Contractor
- numbered bay within the area shown on your permit
- designated bay within the area stated on your permit
You must always display a valid estate parking permit while parked on a council estate.
NSL carry out parking enforcement on council estates. Report a nuisance vehicle to NSL on 0343 357 1555. NSL issue tickets to vehicles which cause a nuisance. *Call charges to NSL apply
When you report a nuisance vehicle, please provide the following details:
- location of vehicle
- registration number
- make, model and colour
The Council investigates and removes abandoned vehicles.
Before they remove a vehicle, they confirm it is abandoned.
This could because there is no keeper on the DVLA database.
Other signs of an abandoned vehicle are if it’s:
- Untaxed
- badly damaged, run down or not roadworthy. Look for flat tyres, missing wheels or broken windows
- burned out
- damaged enough to cause injury or harm
- unlocked
- under repair or has parts missing
Or the vehicle has:
- not moved for a long time
- number plates missing
- the fuel filler cap missing or open
- waste inside
