Last month, our Financial Health Centre (FHC) in Bethnal Green, celebrated its second anniversary.
Since the doors opened, back in September 2018, over 3, 500 residents have been supported with over £1.8million worth of benefit claims being made, over £1million worth of debt being cleared/consolidated and over 750 residents taking up training, leading to 275 people starting employment.
The FHC is open to all residents of the borough. It brings a range of benefits specialists plus training and employment organisations together under one roof. It is a one-stop shop to help people manage their finances or get back into work or training. The service runs in partnership with the following organisations:
- Citizens’ Advice
- Account3
- WiseAge
- Toynbee Hall•
- The Limehouse Project
- GoTrain
- Money A and E
- Asian People’s Disability Alliance
- Women's Inclusive Team (formerly known as the Somali Integration Team)
- Tower Hamlets Council.
