We would like to apologise to the residents of Offenbach House, Modling House and St. Gilles House who have been and are currently affected by lifts being out of service. Power surges and failures in UK Power Networks systems in the area have caused these issues and we are working to return all the lifts affected to full service as soon as possible.

At Offenbach House both lifts in the block are currently out of service and we are doing everything we can to rectify this situation as soon as possible.

One of the lifts has been shut down as part of a planned works programme and is scheduled for a major engine replacement. We expect that the scheduled work will be completed and the lift returned to service within a few weeks. The second lift has been taken out of service after blowing a drive unit following the power supply issues experienced in the area recently.

A replacement drive unit is on order through PLS, our specialist lift maintenance contractor. They will repair the lift as soon as the spare part arrives. We are waiting to confirm a delivery date for the spare part and will update residents of this as soon as we are able to do so, residents can also check the status of this repair by logging into MyTHH.

Our Neighbourhood Officers have provided and continue to provide support to vulnerable residents living in the affected blocks. We are exploring the need for temporary accommodation where appropriate. Last night our Caretaking Service were present at Offenbach House assisting residents until 9pm and they continue to assist residents today. We are working with colleagues, Adult Social Care and the Emergency Services to ensure they are aware of the situation so that further support can be provided if necessary.
