Join us this Thursday as we celebrate International Women’s Day with our partners.
We’ll be hosting a free lunchtime Zoom event for residents of Tower Hamlets Homes and our partner organisations (and their users) to celebrate the achievements of women across the borough, in our THH funder partner organisations.
The event will take place online this Thursday, 11 March, 11am-12:30pm via Zoom.
The agenda includes:
- A keynote speech from our Chief Executive, Susmita Sen, on this year’s theme – ‘choose to challenge’;
- Shirina Ali from the Limehouse Project speaking about 'empowering women & financial literacy';
- Safia Jama and Emma Triggs from WiT on the importance of access to mental health services for Somali, Black and Ethnic Minority women and their families; and
- A presentation on the 'Dare to Lead' BAME Women Leadership programme from Account 3.
We’ll also be hosting a themed quiz and giving attendees an overview of the projects we fund and a look forward to the year ahead.
The event is free and open to all – the first 100 people to register their details on Eventbrite will be given a £10 gift voucher. (The cut-off point for registration will be March 11, 10am). For those not wishing to register their details, you can simply join via the Zoom link on the day.
