Tower Hamlets Homes (THH) will be seeking a new Chief Executive after their current CEO, Susmita Sen, announced she is leaving in the spring to take up the role of Director of Housing at Croydon Council.

After over six years at the helm, Ms Sen has brought about some significant changes to THH, including delivering a multi-million pound investment programme to residents’ homes, service improvements across all housing management functions, and an innovative antisocial behaviour service run in partnership with the Police. THH won the prestigious Landlord of the Year award in 2019.

Ms Sen said: “I am tremendously proud of everything THH has achieved over the last six years, which has been the result of the hard work of everyone in the organisation. I would also like to thank residents who have been equal partners in our journey. I will miss working in Tower Hamlets. I will also miss working with the fantastic staff, board members and residents. At the same time, I am confident that the THH will continue to improve and deliver great services.”

Ann Lucas, Chair of THH, said: “I would like to thank Susmita for everything she has done, She will be a huge loss to Tower Hamlets, and I wish her well. The THH Board has started a recruitment process, which will commence by appointing an acting CEO while recruiting a permanent replacement is underway.”
