Response team is a mobile service team providing support to caretaking teams and dealing with drainage issues. The team provides in hours service as well as emergency response.
Response Team's main tasks are:
- Covering caretakers when they are on leave or off sick
- Dealing with emergency cleaning situations
- Helping cleaning areas with high level of anti-social behaviour and vandalism
- Removing of graffiti
- Removing bulky items and any other dumped items to reduce potential fire risk
- Specialist cleaning i.e. removal of guano, jet washing paving slabs and external walls etc.
- Small communal improvements i.e. painting, installing bird spikes etc.
- Sealing of the staircases
- Unblocking main drainage systems & estate drains
- Unblocking gullies on communal landings and balconies drains
- Clearing roof drains
- Clearing blockages to communal stack pipes serving both rain water and residential sinks, baths and toilets
