Tower Hamlets Homes is proud to announce that the Inspiring Communities Fund is now open for a tenth round of funding.

The Inspiring Communities Fund will offer grants of between £100 - £5000 to THH residents and community organisations with great ideas for how to improve their local neighbourhoods.* Before applying, please read through the Application Guidance Notes carefully to find out more about our funding requirements. You may be interested in partnering up with another community organisation or TRA for your application – for more information, please take a look at the Community Asset List.

We are keen to fund locally based social activities that bring people in THH neighbourhoods together. You can apply for funding to support local events, projects and activities: if you’ve ever wanted to start a Community Food Garden or set up an exercise class to benefit others in your neighbourhood – this is your chance. Individual residents**, Community Groups and Tenants’ and Residents’ Associations can apply.

For this round, we are particularly interested in receiving applications for summer activities and events, including Great Get Togethers, Big Lunches or Eid celebrations. If you are planning an event in May or early June, then please bear in mind the dates of Ramadan.

Fokrul Hoque, Community Partnerships Manager at THH said:

"There are so many people in the community who want to make a difference – our Inspiring Communities Fund is a good initiative which helps make projects a reality. If you’re a THH resident or a local community group, and you’ve got a great idea for a project that could make a real difference to your community – we want to hear from you!”

To apply, simply download, complete and return your applications by email to or by post to the Financial Health Centre, Raynham House, Massingham Street, E1 4EB by 5pm on Friday 17 May 2019.
