Tower Hamlets Homes is proud to support the Housing Diversity Network in helping to make the second year's event even better than the first.  Our Chief Executive, Susmita Sen, will be amongst leaders of the housing sector hosting online conversations.

Last year’s inaugural Housing Diversity Day saw over 300 organisations and individuals from the social housing world join the debate. Throughout the course of the day, #Housing was trending as the second most important conversation nationally reaching an audience of more than 800,000.

For its second year, Housing Diversity Day will build on its important role in raising the profile of diversity in the social housing sector by helping to tackle stigma and stereotypes and sharing best practice throughout the industry.

This year the day’s focus is on driving diversity. This means listening to the experiences and views of residents and staff to ensure that diversity is integral to we do.

We will also have chief executives and industry leaders hosting themed Twitter talks on communities, leadership, staff development and driving change.

Hosting conversations during the day will be:

Alison Inman, Chartered Institute of Housing
Paul Hackett, Chief Executive, Optivo
Susmita Sen, Chief Executive, Tower Hamlets Homes
Matt Campion, Chief Executive, Shepherds Bush Housing Group
Raj Patel, Chief Executive, Housing Diversity Network

Housing Diversity Network Chief Executive Raj Patel said:

“Housing diversity is already an important part of the calendar for our sector and  with social housing and stigma so high up the political agenda, it’s more important than ever that we have an industry-wide debate and share best practice.  That’s that housing diversity day is all about.”

Housing organisations and individuals can show their support and join the Twitter conversation using the hashtag #HousingDiversityDay.
