We understand this is a difficult time for you. You’re thinking about your health and your family. On top of this, you may be worrying about money and paying the bills. If you’re struggling to pay the rent, please pick up the phone and talk to us.

We know that this is a very different Christmas for everyone and we’re here to help. Our friendly team can talk through your rent account and payment options – just get in touch. We have staff who can support you with debts or to claim benefit that you may be entitled to and we can also help you save money on bills.

The easiest way to pay your rent is to set up a direct debit, so that the rent comes out of your bank account the day your wages or benefits are paid – you can choose a date that’s best for you.

Money worries?

If you’ve been made redundant or have been furloughed, we have specialist help available. Our team can help you make the most of your money and offers confidential advice.  

If you are having problems paying your rent we can arrange for free independent advice from a financial specialist, or a Tower Hamlets Homes Financial Inclusion Officer can contact you to discuss and support you with any welfare benefits you may be entitled to.

We can:

  • Talk through your options and give you clear advice
  • Help you get back on track with your payments
  • Set up an ‘any day, any frequency’ Direct Debit
  • Make an agreement with you to pay off your arrears to help you avoid further action
  • Make a referral to a specialist money advice service to help you budget
  • Check you're getting the most out of your benefit and tax credits
