Changed Your Vehicle?

You must tell Tower Hamlets Homes when you change your vehicle/lose your permit or your permit is damaged. Our team will send you a replacement permit that you can carry on displaying in your windscreen. There is an administrative charge of £10 for this process.

If you are requesting a new permit as your old permit has been stolen, you must first report this to the police and provide us with the crime reference number when you apply. There is no charge for this.

Documents to send if you change your vehicle

Only the documents listed below are accepted. We reject applications if you provide incorrect or unreadable documents.

Certificate of Motor Insurance and ONE required from the list below

Both pages of your Vehicle Registration Document (V5C)
It must show your name, address and vehicle details
It must be registered to you at your current address
Motability Insurance Certificate showing you as the permitted driver
Lease or Hire Agreement. This must be signed. It must show the contractual start date and length of the agreement. It must be valid for 3 months or more from the date you apply. Finance agreements are not accepted
Company letter on headed paper. This must be signed. It must be dated in the last 28 days of the date you apply. This should confirm:

your name and address
vehicle details
you are an employee
you have insurance to drive the vehicle
you have permission to drive the vehicle for business and personal use

How to apply

Complete an 'EF7-Replacement permit form'.
If you have changed your vehicle, send us the new documents from the list above.
Take it to the THH counter at Tower Hamlets Town Hall. To keep everyone safe we are operating an appointment only system. You can use this booking link to book an appointment. No more than two people should attend an appointment.
Pay £10 at the counter, we will then process your permit form.
If successful, you will receive a replacement parking permit. We will send this within 10 working days.

You must display your Any Vehicle permit while you wait for the replacement.
