If you rent a home managed by Tower Hamlets Homes you get a free annual service and safety check of your gas appliances.

Our fully-qualified gas safety contractors will give your home the expert treatment to keep things working properly. And for your peace of mind, we will give you a copy of the gas safety certificate after the annual service.

By law, we must have gas appliances in your home checked for safety every year. If the annual service reveals a problem, we will tell you what work needs to be done, and when a contractor will come to fix it.

 

How you will know when the annual service is due?

Once a year, before your annual service is due, we'll write to you with an appointment.  Please make sure someone’s at home to let our gas safety contractors in.

If you can’t make the appointment, please ring the number we give you to arrange a time that’s convenient to you.

 

Getting access to carry out the annual serviceradiator panel

It is your responsibility to let our gas safety contractor into your property. If our contractors can’t get in to carry out the service after 3 attempts we will issue you with a formal ‘final notice’, giving you warning that we will begin legal action to gain access to your home.

If we have to take legal action you will be liable for any court costs.
