Introduce Yellow Card/Red Card Scheme

We introduced the Yellow/Red card scheme in October 2011 to help reduce the amount of rubbish discarded in the neighbourhood. The scheme means residents get a warning or 'yellow card' if they’re caught dumping rubbish followed by a second letter or 'red card' if they do it again and charged for having their rubbish taken away.

We posted leaflets through residents doors and publicised the scheme on our website. It's been up and running for a few months now and things have definitely improved.

Please make sure you get rid of your rubbish correctly - don't leave it in communal areas or may get a red card!!
