Mapsites

We have around 170 mapsites
describing many of our estates and communal areas. Each
mapsite is colour coded to help identify estate
footpaths, estate roads, grass areas, shrub beds and
buildings.
Mapsites are important because
they help us calculate leasehold charges such as horticulture
and caretaking services.
They have been updated and revised this year
and are currently being checked to make sure
they're accurate by Key Leaseholders as well as Tower Hamlets Homes.
Some
of the things we check for include:
- does the mapsite fully reflect the estate/communal area that it
denotes?
- are the buildings in the right places or are there new
buildings or structures such as bike sheds or storage sheds that
are not shown on the mapsite?
- have any other changes been made to the site, such as
allotments or orchards, which are not shown on the mapsite?
- do the different aspects on the mapsite line up with the actual
areas on-site – i.e. is there grass where the mapsite says there is
a grassed area, etc
- are the private gardens shown correctly as opposed to the
communal areas?
We need more leaseholders to help check the
mapsites with us through the Key Leaseholder Scheme. If your
interested please contact Gabriel Brown on 020
7364 0961 or email:leasehold@towerhamletshomes.org.uk.
How do I find my mapsite?
You
can find your mapsite using this table.
Simply look up your block, note down the mapsite
reference and neighbourhood you live in, and find the
corresponding neighbourhood and map on the menu on the
left hand side. You can make the map larger or smaller using the
'Zoom In' and 'Zoom Out' buttons on the toolbar in Adobe
Reader.
