Parking - New Interactive Parking Map
You can now select a car space or garage
online using our new Interactive
Parking Map.

How does it work?
1. Choose a
car space or garage. Use the Interactive Parking
Map and Parking
GIS Map
guide to help you. (Car spaces and
garages available to rent are shown
in red).
2. Apply
online using the parking and garage e-form.
3. Once we have
received your application,
we will check the priority list and
check your
rent or service charge
account. These checks usually take about 10
working days.
4. If your
application is successful, we will ask you to provide your
vehicle and identity
documents(see below),
and ask you to sign a licence.
5. If you have
applied for a garage we will aske
you to collect the keys to the garage. If
you have applied for a car
space we will send you a parking permit in the
post.
We will ask you to provide ONE of the
following original documents as proof of ownership (see 4
above):
- Vehicle registration Certificate
(V5C) at current address only
- New Keeper Supplement (V5C/2) dated
within the last 8 weeks
- Insurance Certificate
along with V5C documents if you are not the Registered
Keeper
- Motability Insurance
Certificate
- Lease or Hire Agreement, showing
contractual start date and length of agreement
- Letter from your company, dated
within 28 days of the application form to confirm that: you are an
employee, your home address and you are insured to drive the
vehicle
And ONE of the following
original documents as proof of name and address:
- Driving licence registered at current address (Both
photo card & paper licence, if applicable)
- Tenancy agreement
- DWP Letter
- Council tax
registration
- Electoral registration
- Copy of lease
- Bank or Building Society Statement
(dated in the last 3 months)
- Utility Bill (dated in the last 6
months)
Exemption
You will need
to provide your original Blue badge registered at
your current address to qualify for exemption.

Parking Rules
We give priority to residents with a Tower Hamlets Council blue
badge for people with disabilities.
- You are not permitted to have
more than one parking space or garage on the same estate registered
to the same vehicle
- You may rent a parking space
or garage on another estate provided you can demonstrate a valid
reason e.g. you are a carer for someone or may be commuting to work
near by
- Your vehicle must not
occupy more than 1 parking space and should fit within the
confines of the parking space provided to you
- We may carry out random audits
with your parking space or garage tenancy at any time and we may
request to see your car documentation (proof of ownership etc)
which you must provide on request.
- You must adhere to the terms
and conditions stated on you licence form at all times. We
will send you your licence form that contains our terms and
conditions when we allocate you a parking space or
garage.
