The big lunch!

On Sunday 19 July people across Britain are invited to sit down
to lunch with their communities and meet their neighbours.
Set up by Tim Smit, founder of the Eden Project, the Big Lunch
is designed to bring communities together so that neighbours have
the chance to meet the people they see every day but don't really
know. This, in turn, will help lay the foundations for stronger,
more vibrant communities.
It is expected that millions of people across Britain will sit
down on the day and share food and drink with each other - in
their homes or at community events. All ages are invited. The food,
decoration and entertainment are up to you.

Says Tim Smit, "Imagine a summer's day in which millions of us
sit down to break bread with our neighbours and put a smile on
Britain's face."
Nice thought.
