Setting up a Tenants and Resident Association

A Tenant and Resident Association is a group formed by local residents joining together to work for common aims.

If you don't have a Tenant and Resident Association in your area, we can offer advice and support to help you set one up.

You can expect us to:

  • meet new groups to offer our advice
  • support you in selecting a management committee
  • give you advice about the roles of the key officers - such as chair, secretary and treasurer
  • offer advice on equal opportunities policies and your constitution
  • help with creating and translating your initial publicity
  • advise on financial support through the small grants scheme
  • promote access to training and development

If you are interested in setting up a Tenant and Resident Association or would like support for your existing one, contact our Resident Engagement Team (details can be found on our key contacts page) or use our online enquiry form.
