About the group
Tower Hamlets Homes is committed to making
sure that residents have a say about the housing services we
deliver to them. That’s why we’ve set up a service improvement
group to look at ways of improving caretaking, gardening and trees
maintenance, concierge and other contracts affecting residents on
the estates.
The Group meets every 6 weekly at the Wyn
Garrett Centre at Massingham Street, close to Stepney Green tube
station.
What the Environmental Services Resident Improvement Group
does
We're looking to improve the standards across
all of Tower Hamlets Homes’ estates through the monitoring the
standards of cleaning, horticulture and other contracts which have
a direct effect on residents’ lives.
- We give feedback and advice on the
performance of contracts
- We help monitor performance of all
services provided by Environmental Services
- We provide guidance and advice in choosing
contract partners that fall within the remit of Environmental
Services
The Group recently created a ‘Five Year
Tree Strategy’ for Tower Hamlets Homes; designed a performance
management framework for the gardening contract, and developed
robust monitoring standards for grounds maintenance.We're also
currently developing a First Impression/TLC
Campaign for blocks and estates, which aims to
improve the appearance of our
blocks and estates through small but important changes
to the service.
