About the Diversity Group
The Diversity Working Group is our advisory
group for diversity, made up of residents, staff representatives,
partners and our main repairs contractors. The Group challenges us
to do better, provides insight into how we are doing and what
residents experience, and generates practical ideas for how we can
improve.
Help us to deliver equality and embrace diversity
Tower Hamlets Homes is committed to making all of our services
accessible, inclusive and fair.
The Diversity Working Group is our
advisory group for diversity, made up of residents, staff
representatives, partners and our main repairs contractors.
The Group challenges us to do better, provides insight
into what residents experience, and generates practical ideas
for how we can improve. In the last year, the Group has helped
us to improve our support for vulnerable residents and
overcrowded households, and increase accessibility to our
services according to residents' needs.
We are committed to achieving excellence in
equality and diversity in the next year in line with the Equality
Framework for Social Housing. To help us do this, we are
looking for new residents to join the Diversity Working Group and
contribute their ideas.
Meetings are relatively informal and all are
welcome no matter what your background, interests or experience
might be in equality and diversity. We would particularly
welcome interest from men, disabled, younger and older
residents as they are currently under-represented, but all are
welcome.
