Readers' Panel

We want to make sure our communications
with residents are clear and easily understood - avoiding jargon
and long complicated sentences.
We have asked people from
our Getting Involved Register to form a Readers’ Panel
and give us a residents' eye view on our written publications.
Taking part is easy. We email draft
publications to the panel and ask for comments back by a certain
date.
All residents who send comments receive
feedback on them. We don’t promise that every suggestion will be
acted on, but we will attempt to explain why editorial decisions
have b
een
made.
We have also developed a ‘resident approved’
badge to show that leaflets, forms and newsletters have gone
through this process and have been ‘passed’ as clear and easy to
understand.
For residents who perhaps don’t have the time
to come to regular meetings it's an easy,
but very effective, way of
helping us to improve our services.
You can be involved without leaving the
comfort of your home. And you don’t have to offer comments on every
publication we send, you can participate as often as you want.
If you would like the opportunity to take part
in the Readers' panel why not join our Getting Involved Register?
