Refund of rent credit
We write to you every year if your rent account is in credit.
When your rent account is in credit you
can:
- leave the credit on your account as a
‘cushion’
- pay slightly less for a while until the account is
balanced
- request a rent refund
Requesting a rent refund
You can request a rent refund any time. Just complete a
rent
refund application form and return it to us.
How you will be paid
We will refund you by cheque. If you owe any money,
for example, for court costs, housing benefit overpayment,
re-chargeable repairs, or any other debt, we will deduct this from
the amount.
You can expect us to deal with
your rent refund application within 5 working days of receiving all
supporting documents.
