Many people run into money problems. It can be because of a relationship breakdown, job loss, illness, bereavement, or sometimes just a large unexpected bill.

Sometimes, money problems are short term and can be sorted out easily, but we know sometimes things can get out of hand. This happens most often when people have lots of debts for things like credit and store cards or loans and sometimes it can all seem too difficult to face up to.

This may mean that you are unable to pay your rent, which can lead to rent arrears and court action against you.

Community advice agencies (links to Tower Hamlets council's website) like Citizens Advice provide free money and debt advice services to anyone living in Tower Hamlets.
