Service standards for your home and your neighbourhood
Improving your home
We will:
- Assess the condition of homes to ensure that major works are
carried out where needed.
- Publicise our plans for what work we intend to do and when we
intend to do it
- Consult with you before starting the work.
- Agree a convenient time with you if we need to come into your
home.
Tackling anti-social
behaviour
We will:
- Provide a 24 hour service to report anti-social behaviour by
telephone.
- Arrange a full interview with you within five working days of
you reporting a problem.
- Refer victims and perpetrators to support organisations.
- Keep you informed of what we are doing and let you know what
happens when cases are closed.
- Aim to resolve cases within 60 days or less.
Parking
We will:
- Deal with your parking application within 10 working days.
- Replace lost or damaged permits within five working days.
- Re-let parking spaces within 10 working days where there is a
waiting list.
- Take action against people who park illegally.
Outside your front door
We will:
- Work with you to agree an action plan to improve your
neighbourhood.
- Carry out monthly inspections and publish the results.
- Publicise when your neighbourhood inspections are taking place
and invite you to join in.
- Keep your block and neighbourhood clean.
- Publish when we are doing the gardening and carry this out when
we say we will.
- Remove offensive graffiti within 1 working day and all other
graffiti within 7 working days.
- Move dumped bulk rubbish to a safe place and remove it within 1
working day.
- Inspect repairs regularly to check they’re up to scratch.
- Service all lifts, dry risers, emergency lighting and communal
water tanks at least once a year.
