Vallance FC buzzing in their new kit

The under 16 players for Vallance FC are ready
to sting the opposition in the Safer Neighbourhood Football
Tournament with their new yellow and black kit provided by Tower
Hamlets Homes. The Tournament brings together the best local
football talent and has been running for the last eight
years. This year as well as a senior cup, there will be a
under 16 trophy up for grabs, that the Vallance team aim to fly
into and win.
Tower Hamlets Homes, who also sponsor the FC
Berner men’s team, are proud supporters of the SNT tournament and
grassroots football in the borough.
Tower Hamlets Homes Chief Executive Gavin
Cansfield said “the Safer Neighbourhood Tournament is one of the
many ways we are building relationships in our diverse community,
and it’s great to be able to sponsor a team like Vallance who do so
much for their local area.” Gavin went on to say “with many of the
players coming from Tower Hamlets Homes properties, it was really
easy get behind the Vallance team. We wish them all the best
for the tournament this weekend.”
The Safer Neighbourhood Tournament is all
about building community partnerships, with local amateur football
teams from different neighbourhoods across the borough playing
matches with representatives from local Metropolitan Police
Service, London Fire Service and the business community in Canary
Wharf.
The tournament kicked off at the weekend -
Saturday 17 April and Sunday 18 April at Victoria Park with the
final being played Monday 19 April at Mile End Stadium.
