The council has announced the dual launch of its' new
Housing Strategy and commencement of the Lettings Review
Consultation Programme.
The Housing Strategy was adopted by the Council in May 2009; it
sets out their priorities and vision of housing in Tower
Hamlets for the next three years.
Earlier in the year the Council consulted widely
with residents, tenants and partners to identify discuss and agree
priorities which should feature in the housing strategy.
This is your opportunity to hear how you helped
shape the strategy.
One of the key commitments in the Strategy was
to review Tower Hamlets Lettings Policy and improve on the existing
choice-based lettings scheme.
By attending the event you will understand the
scope of the review and the extent of consultation events
happening in the
borough.
The conference will feature speeches by the
Council’s Lead Member for Housing and Development, Councillor Marc
Francis and the lead consultant undertaking the Lettings
Review.
Places to the launch are
