Sowing the seeds of change
It’s amazing what team work can do - as we found out recently
when we encouraged
residents
to get involved in our major works programme to improve the look
and feel of estates. Sheila Beeton, a resident of Royal Mint estate
for seven years and one of Tower Hamlets Homes’ Board members,
helped us to rejuvenate a tired communal area into a blooming
communal garden for all local residents to enjoy.
The garden is part of a £80,000 package of estate improvements
carried out by Tower Hamlets Homes on the Royal Mint estate, along
with major landscaping, lighting, fencing, painting and security
improvement works.
Encouraging residents to get involved in our
projects is all part of improving the service for residents and
making our neighbourhoods places we can be proud of. Sheila, and
her neighbours, said they were thrilled about the recent works and
were looking forward to working with Tower Hamlets Homes in the
future.
