Making a difference today: residents commend caretaker for going extra mile  

Caretaker, Paul Clifton, has been commended by St Matthias Estate residents, and his managers, for making a difference to their neighbourhood. Margaret Hall, a Tenants’ & Residents’ Association member of St Matthias Estate, Poplar contacted us recommending Paul for going the extra mile award for his old-fashioned work ethic. She said: “All Tenants’ & Residents’ Association members would like to thank him for his excellent work on the estate.”

She added: “Paul is wonderful. He’s bright, cheerful and so thorough – he goes well beyond what he should be doing. If we need him for anything, we know that we can approach him direct and it’s guaranteed to be done promptly and properly.”

Derek Veira, caretaking chargehand and Paul’s supervisor said: “Paul started working at St Matthias eight months ago. He is an extremely conscientious guy. He’s not one to rush to lunch or home at the end of the day. Whatever he starts, he won’t stop until it’s finished.”
