Tower Hamlet Homes, in partnership with the Tower Hamlets Council, has developed a brand new reception area at the One Stop Shop, Bethnal Green, providing residents with an altogether better customer service experience.

A fun day organised by Tower Hamlets Homes Community Development Officers, with local residents, marked the launch of the newly refurbished play area on the Locksley estate, this weekend.


Rent increase 2009-10 (April 2009)
We are aware that some tenants have not received their rent notification letter from the Council advising them of their rent increase for 2009-10.This is due to a technical problem and we are working to ensure that these letters are issued as soon as possible.

Status survey winnersLinda Quane and Alice Irving, residents from Bethnal Green, found themselves the lucky winners of £50 last week after completing the STATUS tenants’ survey.     


                      A new way to pay your rent. (March 2009)
                      You can now pay your rent by calling the Tower Hamlets Homes rents
                      team on 020 7364 2200. Just have your credit or debit card handy when
                      you call – we'll do the rest!  Lines are open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
                      We accept most major debit or credit cards. There is a surcharge for
                      payments made by credit card.

                     environmental charity, to engage local residents in an environmental

Chicksand, the second of the Tower Hamlets Homes’ Repair Days, saw a number of residents queue to get their repairs fixed.

                      A joint road safety awareness initiative, involving Tower Hamlets Homes,
                      Tower Hamlets council, the Police, Safer Neighbourhoods and the Fire
                      brigade, starts this week.

                        Mystery shopping training is a hit with residents (February 2009)
                        12 residents took part in a training session to learn how to 
                        become mystery shoppers, earlier this month and voted it an
                        overwhelming success.  

                        Horwood Estate receives £80,000 lighting upgrade (February 2009)
                        Horwood Estate gets a £80K lighting upgrade, deterring anti-social
                        behaviour and making residents feel much safer.

                        Citizens of Equal Worth: the National Tenant Voice (February 2009)
                        Communities and Local Government (CLG) has published a report
                        setting out clear proposals for the National Tenant Voice (NTV) which is
                        designed to ensure that tenants’ views sit at the heart of Government’s
                        decision-making on housing strategies.
