We
are aware that
the horticultural
service has fallen far
short of what we expect within some of the
neighbourhoods we
manage. The
grass has grown unacceptably long and the weeds have not
been sprayed. We're sorry for
this poor service.
Improving the look of our
neighbourhoods has been a priority for Tower Hamlets Homes since we
were set up, and residents have told us they can see the
improvements we've made.
We
are working closely with Glendale, our horticulture
contractor, to address the problem.
We've
demanded they produce
a 'recovery plan' to bring the
neighbourhoods up to standard by the end of June,
and we
are meeting them each week to check they're doing what they've said they
will.
Some of
you may have noticed the grass in
neighbourhoods is now being cut and weeds are being
sprayed. It will take Glendale a few weeks to catch up with the
back log of work.
We'll will continue to meet them each week to make sure that they stick to
the 'recovery
plan'.
We
hope residents will soon start to see a big
improvement in the level of service across all the neighbourhoods.
Thank you.
