Residents and Board Members met last month to discuss our
‘commitments to residents’ – designed to help us improve
services.
A series of ‘meet the board’ events which invited residents to
tell us what they think about our commitments attracted 63 tenants
and leaseholders to come along and get involved.
This was a great opportunity for Board members to find out what
the commitments mean to residents and their neighbourhood, and hear
what is and isn’t working.
Residents feedback included: “We should engage and consult with
resident early and make it meaningful – Neighbourhood Action Plans
need to be resident-friendly and have ‘ownership’ from both THH and
residents” and “We should have clearer but fewer service standards
and residents should be involved in agreeing them and what the
targets should be”.
Gavin Cansfield, Chief Executive, said: “It was great
to see so many residents come along to the events and chat to
us. Understanding what the commitments really mean to people
and what they want to be different as a result of them, not only
will help us to respond better to what residents want, but help
shape our priorities for the future”.
