Neighbourhood Action days kick off

March 2010, saw the first of two Neighbourhood Action Days, one in Locksley Neighbourhood, Poplar and the other in Hollybush Neighbourhood, Bethnal Green.  

The Neighbourhood Action Days build on the success of the Repairs Days we held last year, but with a lot more of our services present. Staff from across Tower Hamlets Homes joined residents to discuss how we can work together to best tackle problems such as anti-social behaviour and overcrowding, and get involved in the work we are doing in their area.

It was also a great opportunity to talk about the development of the local Neighbourhood Action Plans. At the Locksley event the highlights from the Locksley Action Plan were on display, so that residents could tell us whether we were prioritising the right things, or whether there was anything we'd missed. Some great ideas came out of the day, helping us to get a better understanding of what issues concern you the most.
