The Malmesbury ‘get to know your neighbour’ day
attracted dozens of residents
to Caxton Hall in Bow, Saturday August
15.
Malmesbury Tenants’ and Residents’ Association
teamed up with Tower Hamlets Homes to provide a load of fantastic
activities for all the family to enjoy.
They ranged from beat the goalie to bucket
blast and carrom to table tennis. But Saturday’s event also
included two youngsters, in full traditional costume, performing
spectacular Irish dancing.
Maggie Taylor Resident Engagement Manager for
Tower Hamlets Homes said, “The event gave us an opportunity to find
out from residents what they feel about the estate and what
activities they would like to see in the Caxton Hall”.
“We will also be setting up a resident led
steering group for the estate”.
The event was also a chance for residents to find out
more about services in Tower Hamlets including the London Fire
Brigade, Global Action Plan, Lifeline, the Council’s Ideas Stores
and Animal Warden.
Aktar Ahmed, Malmesbury Tenants and Residents
Association said: “The event was a great success and we would like
to thank everyone involved including Tower Hamlets Homes and all
the volunteers from the Malmesbury Estate who worked tirelessly to
ensure everyone had a wonderful time.”
“This has been an annual event for the past 3
years and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year!”
