Eager residents brave bad weather to get repairs fixed
Despite the bad weather last week, the
residents on Boundary and Shadwell,Tarling and
Martineau estates were
eager to pop along to their local repair day and get their repairs
fixed.
Since mid-march we have been working flat out
with our repair contractors EPS and Morrison to sort out immediate
repairs in our neighbourhoods through a series of ‘local repair
days’ - part of our 100 day improvement plan to step up repairs for
our residents.
Repair days are set to continue throughout
April and May and we are encouraging as many residents as possible
to come along and speak to their contractor about any repairs they
may have.
So far residents have asked us to carry out a
wide range of internal repairs from the routine leaking sinks to
the more bizarre buzzing entry phone doors! And we have cleared up
a huge number of outstanding communal repairs on the way too.
Broken pavements, missing bollards, broken fencing and damaged
guttering – you name it, we have fixed it!
“I know that the repairs service is one of the
issues that residents always feel strongly about. Our repair days
are just one of a number of improvements that we have planned to
help put things right. The fact that residents are willing to
come to the repairs day – despite the bad weather – proves just how
popular the event is.” said Gavin Cansfield Chief Executive.
“Residents really like repair days because it
makes repairs so accessible for everyone who wants to use the
service - and it’s making a positive difference” he added.
So, whether it’s a problem with your front
door or a toilet that won’t flush, head down to your local repair
day and tell us your repair concerns!
