Community Action Plan says hello to Edel
Tower Hamlets Homes has joined with Global
Action Plan (GAP), an environmental charity, on a project to
develop community action plans and pilot them across four
neighbourhoods, Chicksand, Cranbrook, Pitsea and Will Crooks.
The new Community Project Officer for this partnership is Edel
Fingleton. Edel has started working at Tower Hamlets Homes and will
be looking after the daily running of the programme.
Edel will support those of you living in the
communities of Will Crooks, Pitsea, Chicksand and Cranbrook to
decide what improvements you would like to make to your local
environment. The community action plans will be driven by you and
will help to address key areas such as supporting environmentally
friendly choices, including recycling, vegetable gardening and
energy and water saving.
Now is the time to start thinking about what
kinds of activities you would like to get involved with to make
real and long lasting improvements in your community. We want to
get all your views and ideas to really make these community action
plans a success. So watch out for further information about events
and activities that will be taking place in your area.
If you live in any of the four community areas
and you would like Global Action Plan to visit your community group
or you would like to get involved in the consultations please
