Tower Hamlet Homes, in partnership
with the Tower Hamlets Council, has developed a brand new reception
area at the One Stop Shop, Bethnal Green, providing residents with
an altogether better customer service experience.
Residents visiting the One Stop Shop, Bethnal
Green last week could be forgiven for thinking things are not what
they used to be. And they’d be right!
A brand new reception area with state-of-the-art facilities opened
to the public last week. The development was built in partnership
between Tower Hamlets Homes and Tower Hamlets Council.
The One Stop Shop has undergone a complete new refurbishment with a
new reception counter and a variety of modern reception
facilities for residents.
Among the facilities on site are public
information LCD screens; chip and pin facilities for street parking
payments and Q-matic, an electronic queue management system. Nine
new reception positions mean more customers can be seen at any
time, reducing waiting times.
“Residents seem to enjoy the new modern
reception facilities” said Tracy Rundle-Sams, Team Leader One Stop
Shop. “They help to reinforce our customer focussed approach
to delivering quality front line services to the community.” she
added.
Phase two of the improvement is set to be
completed by the end of May 2009 , and will see the introduction of
a triage counter system.
