Tower Hamlets Homes is run by a board of 15 members - five residents, five councillors and five independents, who bring specialist skills and expertise to the board.

Our board’s main responsibilities are to:

  • provide strategic leadership to the organisation
  • develop Tower Hamlets Homes for Tower Hamlets council
  • make sure Tower Hamlets Homes achieves a two-star rating and secures the additional funding from government to make sure all council homes in Tower Hamlets meet the Decent Homes Standard.

Our board members follow a set of rules called a code of governance. They aren't paid, but they are entitled to claim some out of pocket expenses, for example, the cost of transport to and from meetings.
