Equalities and Diversity

Tower Hamlets is one of the most culturally rich and diverse
boroughs in Britain. We want to help create a place in which
everyone is treated with dignity and respect and
can take a full part in the social, cultural and economic wealth of
the borough.
We want to do everything we can to make sure
everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their
potential, regardless of their age, background, beliefs,
disability, gender, race or sexual orientation and we’ll take
action to tackle discrimination when it happens.
We’re committed to an ongoing programme of
service improvements to make sure our housing management services
meet all of our residents varied and individual
needs. This means providing high quality services that
everyone can access, as well as making sure that
our staff and our board members are confident in tackling
discrimination and promoting equality and diversity.
We work closely with Tower Hamlets council,
which has long experience in tackling discrimination and promoting
strong, safe communities in the borough and we follow the same laws
and have the same legal duties, designed to protect people from
discrimination.
