Will Crooks - East India Buildings
SPLASH has set up a
food garden with residents in Poplar High Street
neighbourhood.
This project has been spear-headed by Sister Christine Frost from SPLASH,
who has worked with
residents to set up raised beds in an unused common area at the back
of East India Buildings.
The project was
funded by the Tower Hamlets Homes'
You Make a Difference Today fund. The application was
approved and a door-to-door survey of East India Buildings was
conducted in August last year (2010). Works to
create an allotment area was completed earlier this year.
