Shadwell, Ring House

After receiving several complaints of the condition and poor upkeep of the site we worked closely with MITIE (Repairs Contractor) and local volunteers, to remove all rubbish and supply secure fencing.  As part of the Neighbourhood Action Day (10th July 2010), we refurbished one of three allotment beds which residents were able to view. 

We have completed the refurbishment to all three raised beds which residents will be able to use to grow fruit and vegetables in the 28 plots.  We are now working to form a group of residents to manage the site and agree how we decide to allocate the growing spaces before the growing season begins.
