Collingwood,Heathpool Court allotment

The Collingwood Bangladeshi Elders Group has set up a food garden for all the residents of the Collingwood neighbourhood.

This project has been spear-headed by Cllr Sirajul Islam and Shamsul Hoque, both Tower Hamlets Homes Board Members. They helped the group set up the allotment scheme on a piece of redundant housing land near Heathpool Court.

Morrison (one of our repair contractors) raised £4,000 and an award of £3,000 was made to the Group from the Tower Hamlets Homes' You Make a Difference Today fund. The Group also secured funds from the Council and the Spitalfields Trust.

Tower Hamlets Homes manages housing services for Tower Hamlets Council.
