Renting out a room
You can rent out a bedroom but please check
with us first. We won’t usually say no but if we do we’ll give you
our reasons in writing.It won’t affect the rent you pay but it may
affect any benefit claims. You can earn a certain amount a year tax
free but please think carefully about whether it’s right for
you.
We cannot act on your behalf if you want
someone to leave your home and if you end your tenancy you must
make sure no-one is left in your home when you move out.
