Going away

You should tell us if you plan to be away from your home for more than four weeks.

We’ll need to know when you plan to come back and how to contact you in case of an emergency. Remember, you need to make arrangements for paying your rent while you’re away, and it’s a good idea to have a friend or relative who can check on your home.

You should also check your insurance policy, as it may not cover items that are left in a house for more than 30 days while you are away.

If you plan to be away for more than three months or want someone to look after your home while you’re away you’ll need to ask us first or you may lose your rights as a tenant.
