Can I sub-let my property?
Yes. But you must follow these 3 easy
steps - if you don't you could end up breaking the rules of
your lease:
- Step 1: ask for a Deed of Covenant (there's a
£25 administration fee for this service). Both you and your
tenant must sign the deed
- Step 2: send us a copy of the tenancy
agreement between you and your tenant. (Any breach of the
lease by your tenant will be your responsibility, so it’s important
that your tenancy agreement enforces the terms of your
lease.)
- Step 3: if you are not living at your
leasehold property - don’t forget to tell us your new
correspondence address.
