Could you help us achieve better value for money?
To improve the accuracy of our charges we are looking for
leaseholders to help us check our quarterly repair and maintenance
reports.
Up until now you could only view repair
orders after we published the final accounts, which could be
up to 18 months after a repair had been completed. This made
it difficult to correct errors.
We are now producing reports of repairs that
have been completed in the last three months and we would like you
to help us check these. By checking the repair orders quarterly
throughout the year we can put right errors closer to the date they
were raised and improve the accuracy of our charges.
We have identified key staff across Tower
Hamlets Homes and a Repairs Champion for the service. We need your
help too because you live in the block and walk around the
neighbourhood, and you are more likely to report a repair or see
one being carried out.
We want a group of leaseholders who are
willing to look at quarterly reports for their buildings and
neighbourhoods and check or query them with us for accuracy. We
will use this information to ensure the repairs included in the
annual final accounts are correct and give you confidence in the
charges you receive.
We already have leaseholders on our Getting
Involved register who are doing this. We would like to increase
this number to improve our service to leaseholders.
We will provide full training and get the
reports to you in whichever form suits you best, as well as
collecting them back from you with your queries or comments.
