What we will be doing in your home

If you are a tenant and live in a block
included in the Year 2 programme your Resident Liaison Officer will
talk through the options with you during the initial visits to your
property. Works will ensure your property meets the Decency
standard and could include any or all of the
following:
Kitchens
- New kitchen units and worktops including sink
and taps
- Ceramic wall tiling
- Redecorating
- Floor tiling
- Electrical rewiring
Bathrooms
- New toilet
- New bath with shower attachment and wash-hand
basin including taps
- New wash hand basin in separate
WC, where practical
- Ceramic wall tiling
- Redecorating
- Vinyl flooring
- Electrical rewiring
- New shaver socket
Other
- Smoke alarm (if you don’t have one or if your
existing smoke alarm needs to be upgraded). The smoke alarm will be
powered by electricity.
And depending on a survey of your home and/or
condition of the following items we may also:
- Rewire other rooms in your home
- Renew your consumer unit (also known as fuse board)
- Renew your boiler
- Install a new extractor fan in the kitchen and bathroom
