We're offering residents the chance to join our password scheme to help stop bogus callers. So when our repair contractor, Mears, visits you, you will have peace of mind that they are who they say they are.

How does the password scheme work?

When you call us to report a repair, just let us know that you’d like to join the scheme. We'll ask you to choose your own secure password. Choose something as easy as “Oranges” or “Lemons” or something more personal to you.

We only use your password once, so you won’t have to remember it or write it down. You can choose a different password each time you need to call us.

Ask the contractor to give you your password before letting them in. If the password isn't provided or the operative does not show their ID card, do not let them into your home - instead call our helpline on 0800 376 1637.

All our repair contractors carry ID cards. Please ask to see them before letting them in your home.
