Tower Hamlets Homes is proud to announce that the Inspiring Communities Fund is now open for a ninth round of funding, with bigger grants available.

For this round, the Inspiring Communities Fund will offer grants of between £100 - £5000 to THH residents and community organisations with great ideas for how to improve their local neighbourhoods.* With this increase in available grant, we are hoping to see applications for projects that will deliver over a longer time period. For more details about our funding requirements, please refer to the Application Guidance Notes.

We are particularly keen to fund locally based social activities that bring people in our neighbourhoods together. You can apply for funding to support local events, projects and activities: if you’ve ever wanted to start a Community Food Garden or set up an exercise class to benefit others in your neighbourhood – this is your chance. Individual residents**, Community Groups and Tenants’ and Residents’ Associations can apply.

Fokrul Hoque, Community Partnerships Manager at THH said:

"There are so many people in the community who want to make a difference – our Inspiring Communities Fund is a good initiative which helps make projects a reality. If you’re a THH resident or a local community group, and you’ve got a great idea for a project that could make a real difference to your community – we want to hear from you!”

To apply, simply download, complete and return your applications by email to or by post to the Financial Health Centre, Raynham House, Massingham Street, E1 4EB by 5pm on Friday 15th February 2019.
