Car space terms and conditions

You have agreed to the following terms and conditions when you signed the licence to acquire the permit.

 

Tower Hamlets Homes (THH), agrees to allow the licensee (you) to use a parking space on the following terms:

a) We will issue you a permit which is to be displayed on the windscreen inside the vchicle, during the period of the licence, while the vehicle is on land managed by THH. If it is not displayed the vehicle may be remove. This permit is to be given up should we require, when the licence is terminated.

b) A weekly licence fee must be paid in advance every Monday by you. This fee is to be confirmed on offer of the permit and will be charged by direct debit. A list of applicable fees is available online.

c) Any change in the amount of the licence fee will take effect after you have received at least 7 days notce in writing of the change from us.

d) The parking space shall only be used for accommodating a private motor vehicle belonging to you or a member of your household who lives with you.

e) All vehicles licensed to park on land managed by THH must be of roadworthy condition and display a current road fund licence.

f) You will not carry out, or cause or permit to be carried out, any work of maintenance or repair of the motor vehicle on the parking space or on any part of land managed by THH in such a nanner as may be, or may become, a nuisance or annoyance and shall keep the parking space and its vicinity tidy and clear of dirt and greas.

g) You arc responsible for repairing any damage to the parking space and any locking post provided except damage caused by normal wear and tear. You shall report to us defects caused by wear and tear.

h) Where damage is caused to the parking space and any locking post maliciously or by an act of vandalism, by sorneone other than you or member of your family, we may, at our discretlon, undertake repairs.

i) We are not responsible for any loss or damage and you shall indemnify us for any damage caused to the parking space and any locking post (except that caused by weer and tear) and for any third party liability caused through or in connection with your use of the parking space and any locking post.

j) Subletting of the parking space is not permitted

k) We may end this licence by giving 7 days notice in writing; the licence may also be withdrawn without notice by a nominated representative of the Head of Customer Services.

l) If you wish to end this licence you must give at least 7 days notice in writing to the Head of Customer Services.

m) Once the licence has ended you shall return to THH any permit and keys supplied. I/we understand that I/we may be liable to pay for any replacement keys and lock change necessary, if the keys are not returned.

n) The licence shall cease on the date you stop being in residence at the address given.

 

Garage terms and conditions

You have agreed to the following terms and conditions when you signed the licence to acquire the garage.

 

Licence rules Tower Hamlets Homes on behalf lower Hamlets council agrees to allow you [the licensee] to use the above garage on the following term:

a) A weekly licence fee of the amount specified on your licence form shall be paid in advance every Monday by you.

b) Any changes in the amount of the licence fee will take effect after you have received at least seven days notice in writing of the change from us

c) The garage shall only be used for accommodating a private motor vehicle belonging to you.

d) You must keep the garage clean and tidy and leave it in a clean condition at the end of the Licence period. If the garage is not left in such a condition you will have to pay us the cost of cleaning the garage and removing any rubbish.

e) You are responsible for repairing any damage to the garage, except damage caused by normal wear and tear and you should report, to us, any defects caused by wear and tear.

f) Where damage is caused to the garage maliciously, or by an act of vandalism by someone other than by you or a member of your family, we may, at our discretion, undertake repairs.

g) You should not make any alterations to the garage or install any fixtures without our prior permission.

h) You must comply with all Health & Safety regulations regarding the storage of hazardous materials, such as petrol [no more than a total of 10 litres in a suitable storage container].

i) Subletting of the garage is not permitted.

j) We shall not be responsible for any loss or damage caused to any property brought into the garage and you must indemnity us for any damage caused to the garage (except that caused by normal wear and tear) and for any third party liability caused through or in connection with your use of the garage.

k) We may end this licence by giving seven days notice in writing, signed on behalf of the Head of Housing & Customer Services. Where you are in breach of any terms of the Licence we may end the Licence without giving any notice.

l) If you want to end this licence you must give at least seven days notice in writing to the Head of housing & Customer Services.

m) Once the Licence has ended you must return any permit, keys, locks and equipment supplied to us.

n) This Licence shall cease if you cease to be resident at the address given.
